The programme aims at acquiring specific skills for providing non-medical care.
The first year of the study programme provides students with knowledge of core subjects like anatomy, physiology, psychology, pathology or specific non-medical procedures. The subsequent years focus on emergency health care in surgical and internal fields, podiatry, urgent care or mass casualty incidents.
All the theoretical knowledge acquired during the lectures is a basis for subsequent practical training at hospitals in the whole of the Czech Republic. The closest cooperation is with the Liberec Regional Hospital located close to the premises of the Faculty of Health Studies.
Paramedic graduates can work not only at medical emergency centres or urgent care centres but also at various hospital departments. Paramedics are an inevitable part of medical teams as providers of specialised non-medical care either at hospitals or in the terrain. Moreover, they administer medicine.

It is possible for students to study abroad within the Erasmus + student exchange programme or take part in a summer school abroad.
